Research
We are interested in mechanism and structure of organometallic and bioinorganic (multicenter) catalysts. For their investigation, we employ mainly NMR spectroscopy methods, which we also utilize to characterize transition metal dihydrogen complexes. Recently, we started with structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies of peptides and proteins of interest for organic chemistry and biochemistry.
Our laboratory also hosts and co-develops the open-source-open-content NMR database project nmrshiftdb2. Part of our efforts is the installation of a free laboratory information and management system (LIMS) for academic service facilities and the establishment of an electronic format for the assignment of NMR data. Thus, we are involved in the IDNMR and NMReDATA initiatives.
Research topics:
- Transition metal catalysts and investigation of reaction mechanism
- Dihydrogen complexes (and development of NMR tools)
