Sample preparation

Please, do not submit "solid state" samples! Dissolve solids completely before sample submission.  Always close tube with a cap. Do not use parafilm or mark tubes/caps with pen. Only use quality NMR tubes, specifications recommended by the NMR facility can be found here.

Samples for automation at the AV300ac and AV300oc: Minimum tube length 17.5 cm. Fill level between 4 and 5 cm. Concentration ca. 0.2 mol/l (i.e. for molecular weights of 500 about 40 mg), for 1H-only spectra also lower conc.(min. 10 mg).

Samples for automation at the AV499: Fill level should be adjusted to exactly 4 cm. Concentration ca. 0.1 mol/l (i.e. for molecular weights of 500 about 25 mg, molar weights of 200 about 10 mg), for 1H-only spectra also lower conc.(min. 5 mg). Concentration should not exceed 0.3 mol/l.
