A combination of NMR spectroscopy together with chemometrics can be used for metabolic profiling and interpretation of metabolic fingerprints in different biological systems. Amongst others, statistical correlation spectroscopy is employed.
Identification of 1H NMR spectroscopic signals using statistical methods is an important aspect of the proposed study. Different types of software will be applied, offering a possibility to become familiar with approaches commonly used in chemometrics, including the latest methods designed to improve the statistical signal elucidation in their application in NMR spectroscopy like STOCSY.
